How I Use Artificial Intelligence

A Trust Architecture Disclosure

Signal Clarity

Every idea, argument, and sentence in my work originates from me. AI assists with research synthesis, outline exploration, and revision suggestions. The voice, the positions, the weird specific details that could only come from thirty years in this industry: those are mine. If it sounds like me, it's because I wrote it.

Systemic Transparency

Here is exactly how AI enters my process. I use it to survey literature, pressure-test structure, and generate alternative phrasings I can accept, reject, or rework. I do not use it to generate arguments, form opinions, or produce publishable prose. This disclosure is the same whether or not anyone asks.

Network Proof

My editors, collaborators, and early readers engage with my drafts directly. They can verify that the thinking is mine because they've challenged it, pushed back on it, and watched it evolve through conversation. No algorithm produced those exchanges.

Temporal Consistency

This is my standing policy, not a one-time disclaimer. I apply it to every piece I publish. If my process changes, I will update this statement. You can check it against my past and future work.

Adversarial Resilience

I publish this disclosure knowing it invites scrutiny. Good. If someone compares my drafts to AI output and finds them indistinguishable, that's a problem I want to know about. This statement is designed to hold up under examination, not to deflect it.
